KAMLOOPS TO VANCOUVER
KAMLOOPS TO VANCOUVER TOUR ROUTE MAP
What to Expect
This GyPSy Guide Driving tour is the second half of the drive from the Canadian Rocky Mountains to Vancouver. GyPSy Guide will provide you with entertaining commentary all the way. Kamloops is the major centre that is roughly halfway along that drive. So this sector covers about 1/2 of the total drive between the Rockies and Vancouver.
There are several short side trips to places that you must stop and see on this leg, so we recommend allowing yourself some extra time to explore. This tour segment has a lot of great stories to enjoy.
Note that this tour is only for driving from Kamloops TO Vancouver. For Vancouver to Kamloops – driving towards the Rockies, please download that specific tour.
We follow the fastest route between Kamloops and Vancouver. We use the Coquihalla Highway from, Kamloops to Hope. From Hope to Vancouver, the route follows the TransCanada Highway through the fertile Fraser Valley. If you are driving directly to Vancouver Airport, you will have an option to take a shorter way and bypass some of Vancouver’s traffic.

LISTEN TO SAMPLE COMMENTARY – VANCOUVER TO KAMLOOPS
Where does the tour start?
The tour begins by following Highway 1 through Kamloops. The first commentary point is just west of the junction of Highway 1 and 5. Commentary plays as you climb up the hill and you will be given directions to continue onto the Coquihalla Highway.
If you are connecting directly from the Lake Louise to Kamloops Tour, you will hear instructions about when to swap from that tour to this one.
You can also join anywhere along the route.
Can I use this tour in either direction?
No, its important to download the version of this sector that matches your direction. If you are driving from the Rockies toward Vancouver, this is the correct tour. If you are driving from Vancouver towards the Rockies; Banff or Jasper, then be sure to download and use the Vancouver to Kamloops tour app.
