BETWEEN BANFF <-> KAMLOOPS TOUR ROUTE
What to Expect
Along Canada’s main transportation route, TransCanada Highway 1, we’ll see amazing scenery as the route cuts through massive ranges and famous mountain passes.
Whether you’re driving to the Eastbound to the Canadian Rockies, or Westbound, leaving them and returning to explore Kamloops or onto Vancouver, there are recommended places of interest to stop, enjoy and break up the long stretches of highway driving.
We pass through Yoho, Glacier and Mt Revelstoke National Parks and there are several recommended very short walks and hikes to see giant cedars, alpine flowers and walk on lakeside wharves.
Highlights along the route include, Golden and the Kicking Horse River, Rogers Pass, Glacier National Park, Revelstoke, The Last Spike, Salmon Arm and then the almost desert-like landscape around Kamloops.

Does this app provide a tour of Banff National Park?
This tour only follows the highway. Its designed to provide a tour to get you into the Park and the its main town or Banff. There is a fantastic amount of sightseeing to do inside the national parks and we have designed tour that specifically do that. When you arrive in the Rockies, you should use the more detailed tours available to explore around the National Parks.
Check the Canadian Rockies section to see what those tours are.
What should I bring?
Its important to keep charging your device as you drive and we recommend using a DC cigarette lighter-style of charger. Plugging directly into the vehicle’s USB port is not recommended.
Gas is available in all towns along the way.
